Zeticon is proud to present version 23.3 of the MediaHaven platform. Please read more info about the new functionalities, improvements and fixed bugs below.

As of the 22.3 release, the old MediaHaven website is no longer active. From now on uploading, searching and downloading/sharing digital assets should be done via MediaHaven 2.0!

The content uploader is still available for managing the settings. We can already announce that this will be available at least until version 23.4

Mediahaven 2.0 features

In cooperation with our customers, we keep enhancing our MediaHaven 2.0 product. We’ve continued the development of the following functionalities:

Support and visualization of new objecttype ‘Newspaper’

In addition to the current object types collections and items, we now support new object types: newspapers, newspaper pages and media objects. These are visualised hierarchically in MediaHaven, allowing you to easily navigate from a newspaper to the underlying pages and from the page to the underlying media objects. Describing, submitting, publishing and downloading these object types is also possible and this works the same way as regular object types.

German-language interface

The interface of MediaHaven2.0 and all extra portals/modules can now be displayed in German in addition to Dutch, French and English.

The full documentation of MH2.0 can be found here: MediaHaven 2.0

Improvements

As with every release, we have made some improvements based on feedback from our end users. You can consult them below.

  • SEARCH We’ve improved the seach functionality so that users can search on other words than the first one of a value to get suggestions in the filters and thesaurus structure. When searching in the filter values, the autocomplete search is not case-sensitive anymore.

  • PERFORMANCE We’ve reduced the number of API calls in the background when viewing the content of a collection and when opening the (master)detailpage of an object. This results in a more performant and faster application.

  • EMBED CODE We removed the rule where the public portal had to be activated before using the embed code. From now on, the embed code is always available if the 'public' group has read access to the object. Regardless of the use of the public portal. This is also done for the 23.2 version of MediaHaven.

  • SECURITY Due to security reasons, it’s no longer possible to change the e-mail address of other users than yourself. Also managing roles (create new role, edit existing roles, deleting roles) is no longer allowed. This was both allowed for admin users only. The roles can now only be managed by our support team.

Bug fixes

  • [MH2.0] The 'or' relationship within a filter could not be configured correctly. This was fixed in the 23.3 and 23.2 versions.

  • [MH2.0] We’ve fixed a bug so that metadata in a repeatable field (e.g. Keywords, albums,…) can be removed. This was fixed in the 23.3 and 23.2 versions.

  • [MH2.0] Users with Safari as internet browser were not able to login on MH2.0. This was fixed in the 23.3 and 23.2 versions.

  • [MH2.0] We fixed a bug where a value with a comma was displayed as two separate values in a filter. From now on, e.g. keywords with a comma are displayed as one value in the filter. This was fixed in the 23.3, 23.2 and 23.1 versions.

  • [MH2.0] The title get no longer exported from the EXIF metadata when explicit given in the metadata sidecar. This was fixed in the 23.3, 23.2 and 23.1 versions.

  • [MH2.0] We’ve fixed searching with autocomplete in the content uploader (old management module).

  • [Import module] Uploading files in the import module resulted in an error in the back end. The files are now correctly uploaded and processed. This was fixed in the 23.3 and 23.2 versions.

  • [Import module] Deleting files in the import module is again possible. This was fixed in the 23.3 and 23.2 versions.

  • No labels
