Release notes version 20.4

Zeticon is proud to present version 20.4 of the Mediahaven platform. Please read more info about the new functionalities, improvements and fixed bugs below.

Mediahaven 2.0

We have further developed our Mediahaven 2.0 product in which we're redesigning Mediahaven in cooperation with our customers. We’ve continued the development of following functionalities:

  • ‘All objects’ page

    • On this page you can search for an object regardless of its phase or status. From the dashboard you can immediately start searching for an object in the all objects page.

  • Evaluation flow and task list

    • We’ve introduced an evaluation flow for users who are not allowed to directly publish objects. Those users can submit an object when they don’t have the rights to publish. Another user with a specific user function will receive an evaluation task for the submitted object. He/she can decide whether to publish the object or to reject it for correction. If the object is rejected, the user who submitted the object will receive a task to correct the object.

  • Multilingual user interface

    • The user interface is now available in multiple languages. The displayed language is the language that is set-up on user level in the settings.

  • Bulk export to a location

    • It’s now possible to export multiple objects together to a specific export location.

  • Item or collection detail page

    • We’ve introduced a read-only page for the metadata of an item and a collection. This read-only page has the same metadata fields as the page to edit metadata.

Other functionalities

  • Introduction of the DateFields

    • DateField contains a full ISO8601 date in microsecond precision and Zulu time. The machine specification of the format is yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSSSSS'Z'

    • Existing fields like CreationDate, ArchiveDate, ExpiryDate and LastModifiedDate are converted to the new format.

    • Rest API2.0 can immediately use the new format, the Rest API 1.0 is backwards compatible.

  • Option to define secondary sorting in Rest-API search

    • More information about this new functionality can be found in the API documentation. The API documentation is always accessible on https://<Your MediaHaven URL>/mediahaven-rest-api/v2.

Improvements

Mediahaven 2.0:

  • More user friendly error and toast messages.

  • Saved search queries are only available on the ‘All objects’ page because of technical difficulties on the concept and published media page.

  • The advanced search is added to the saved search queries.

  • The collection detail page has now a tab ‘Content’ where you can see the content (underlying items) of the collection. On the tab ‘Collection’, you can view the metadata of the collection.

  • The actions on the tab ‘Relations’ are moved to the top of the page.

  • The filter ‘RecordType’ is renamed to a more user friendly name.

  • We’ve split the number of concepts and number of non-exportable items in the warning when downloading a collection.

  • We’ve modified the options in the filter ‘GPS coordinate’ to make it more user friendly.

  • We’ve translated some values in the filters.

Import module:

  • We’ve removed the strict telephone number validation. We’ve changed the validation to match any number containing between 5 and 20 digits.
