Metadata translations are a long existing concept in our product but have been revamped in version 24.2.

Introduction

Metadata translations allow for configuring a sequence of metadata fields to translate into metadata fields that can be burned into files, such https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exif metadata keys.

Metadata Translation

Metadata translations are shared across an organisation with a unique name. Updating, creating or deleting metadata translations requires the function ADMIN_METADATA_TRANSLATIONS. The https://mediahaven.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CS/pages/2447769640 offers a CRUD API on the metadata translations.

Profile

To configure the list of metadata fields and their corresponding metadata key for the burn-in into a file, we have added a new profile category MetadataTranslation to the https://mediahaven.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CS/pages/3273949212. The profile is automatically created when creating the metadata translation.

Exports

On you can configure the export option “Metadata” of the type “Burn” with a matching metadata translation for the export. Similarly when requesting an you can specify it as well on demand.
