New features
In cooperation with our customers, we keep enhancing our product. We’ve continued the development of the following functionalities.
AI face recognition
MediaHaven now includes AI-powered facial recognition. Tag a person's name on one photo, and the system automatically applies that name across all existing and future images where the same face is detected.
Key capabilities:
Tag faces: Hover over any image to see detected faces. Click one, type a name, and you're done. Autocomplete suggests previously used names. Multiple faces per image are fully supported.
Edit names: Correct a misspelled or wrong name, the correction rolls out across all photos of that person instantly.
Remove a person from a photo: Remove a tag from a single image without touching any other photos of that person.
Search by person: Find every photo of someone in seconds via the search bar, a dedicated person filter, clicking on the metadata, or by clicking directly on a face.
Auto-recognition on upload: Upload a new photo and the system matches known faces automatically.

Public portal: advanced search profile
From this release on, it’s possible to select specific fields available in the advanced search for the public portal. This gives you more control over what visitors can search on, rather than exposing all available fields by default. Please contact our team if you want to start using this feature.
Technical features and improvements
Improved performance
We've updated several technical components to their latest versions. This ensures better performance, improved stability, and enhanced security. Specifically:
Search functionality: The search engine powering the system has been updated, making search queries faster and more reliable.
System coordination: A core component that keeps all parts of the system working together seamlessly has been updated for extra stability.
Reports and dashboards: The reporting tool has been updated, providing a smoother experience when viewing overviews and statistics.
Document transformations
Document transformations produce PDF/A-2b files and no longer PDF/A-1b. This is the current standard for long-term preservation and offers better support for complex graphic content without quality loss. Additionally, it’s better suited for documents with modern formatting (shadows, transparency) and it generates smaller file size for image-rich documents. Next to that, the pdf transformation is now 90% faster than before.
Improvements
As with every release, we have made some improvements based on feedback from our end users.
AI HARVESTING STATUS
The header of an item now shows whether AI processing is in progress, completed, or failed. This applies to AI metadata, facial recognition, and OCR.
SETTINGS AND MANAGEMENT
Security groups: Administrators now only see standard and custom security groups in the group list. Zone groups are hidden, as they are system-managed and not configurable by administrators.
REPORTING
The reporting dashboard page now loads noticeably faster, including the list of available reports.
FORMAT REGISTRY
MediaHaven now supports AVIF images.
Integrations
Zeticon is proud to present 2 integrations that will help streamline your workflow. Both integrations offer the same key capabilities:
Search, filter and sort: Users can easily find the assets they need using the same search, filter, and sort options available in MediaHaven.
Centralised asset management: Assets are loaded directly from MediaHaven, ensuring everyone always works with the official and correct version of an object.
Upload edited assets back to MediaHaven: After editing an asset, users can upload it back to MediaHaven directly from the plug-in. A new object is automatically created in the library.
Adobe creative cloud
The MediaHaven Adobe Creative Cloud plug-in allows users to work with assets from Mediahaven directly within their Adobe environment without interrupting their creative workflow.
The MediaHaven plug-in is available for the following Adobe applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Express. In just a few clicks, users can load assets directly from the plug-in into their active project.
Microsoft Office
The MediaHaven plug-in is available for Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Users can load assets directly from MediaHaven into their active document or presentation.
With the plug-in, we support two primary use case:
Load images, videos, or other files from the media library to embed in documents or presentations.
Load full documents into Word, edit them, and upload them back to MediaHaven. This ensures users always work with the latest version of a document.
Interested in one of these integrations? Contact our team for a demonstration. We are happy to help you!
