Mediahaven 2.0 features
In cooperation with our customers, we keep enhancing our MediaHaven 2.0 product. We’ve continued the development of the following functionalities:
Export only the metadata from a selection of objects
Also needed an overview of all metadata of a certain selection of objects to check or complete this metadata? Or to get approval for destruction of documents from the relevant department?
From now on, you can make an export of a selection of objects in MediaHaven. This export results in a CSV file with the metadata of your choice (based on a predetermined profile) for those objects.
This action will only be visible in the UI if there is an exportprofile for metadata available in your organisation. Please, contact our support team if you would like to use this feature so we can create the exportprofile.
Reporting
On the dashboard of the module ‘Settings & management’, we have introduced a report in which the admin users are able to see the total volume of objects in their organisation and the total number of objects per phase. The purpose of this is for the admin to know how much GB is in use so he can compare it with the volume purchased in the subscription model.
Admin users with access to (edit) all organisations will see the statistics across all organisations of their environment, regular admins will only see the data of their own organisation.
Remove content uploader: manage facets and field definitions in MH2.0 interface
All of the functionalities of the content uploader are integrated and available in the API. We’re still working on integrating them in the MediaHaven2.0 interface so admin users and integrators can use more of these functionalities. Currently, the most common adminfunctions like managing users, ingest zones and groups are already available for regular admins. In this release, we’ve added the functionalities to manage facetprofiles and to view the field definitions. At the moment, these admin functions are only available for system admin users.

Improvements
As with every release, we have made some improvements based on feedback from our end users. You can consult them below.
The functionality to contact an admin about any object was already available within MediaHaven2.0, but now we’ve also introduced this feature on the public portal. So users without a login can now contact the admin of your organisation if they have a question about a certain object.Status colour Blue title Contact admin on portal
In the UI, we now support the visualization of a URL field. In this field, the user can enter a valid URL. We have also introduced the possibility to add a label next to your URL. Clicking on the label or URL opens the desired website.Status colour Red title Visualization of new fieldtypes
For integrators and system admins who can manage roles, we’ve added the possibility to filter the roles on organisation.Status colour Yellow title Manage roles
Since the previous version of MediaHaven, it is possible to use custom objecttypes. From this version, it is possible to create relations for all objecttypes.Status colour Green title Relations
Objects that are approved for destruction or that are definitly destructed remain in the published phase. Before, they were transferred to the archive phase but this was not desired.Status colour Purple title Destruction module
If you’re uploading assets with metadata by using the SIP upload, these sip objects are now also visualized in MediaHaven. In this way, you can easily follow-up the processing and error messages of these SIP uploads.Status colour Red title SIP upload
