Metadata translations are a long existing concept in our product but have been revamped in version 24.2.
Introduction
Metadata translations allow for configuring a sequence of metadata fields to translate into metadata fields that can be burned into files, such Exif metadata keys.
Metadata Translation
Metadata translations are shared across an organisation with a unique name. Updating, creating or deleting metadata translations requires the function ADMIN_METADATA_TRANSLATIONS. The MediaHaven REST API offers a CRUD API on the metadata translations.
Profile
To configure the list of metadata fields and their corresponding metadata key for the burn-in into a file, we have added a new profile category MetadataTranslation to the Profiles. The profile is automatically created when creating the metadata translation.
Exports
On Export | Export locations you can configure the export option “Metadata” of the type “Burn” with a matching metadata translation for the export. Similarly when requesting an Export you can specify it as well on demand.
