Ingest 1.5 Configuration

Introduction

The following offers an overview of configuring how ingested items are transformed from the original to one or more browses using a hybrid combination of workflows and transcode jobs.

Preview Configuration

It uses encodings to configure the transformation into one or more browses
Encodings are visible in the MediaHaven Monitoring under MediaHaven > Encodings.

Storage Selection

The Pools on which to store the original and browses are determined by

Type	Storage pool selection (cascade, first matching rule applies)

Mob/Original	Explicitly provided to the process `media_upload` Based on the setting `ingest_default_mob_cluster_groups`
Browse/Access	Explicitly provided to the process `media_upload` Based on the setting `ingest_default_browse_cluster_groups`
