Transcoder

Introduction

The preview or browse files in the ingest 1.0 and the ingest 1.5 flows are generated by transcoding jobs.

The worker daemon jobs can have the following statuses

`waiting`	Job has yet to be picked up	WHITE
`in progress`	Job is currently processing with certain `progress` percentage indication.	BLUE
`completed`	Job finished successfully	GREEN
`failed`	Job encountered an unexpected error (i.e. connection error) When the setting `MediaHaven_STUDIO` is set, the job also fails if the preview could not be generated	RED
`browse_failed`	After from the preview could not be generated, the job finished successfully The preview paths in the metadata of the record will refer to a “no preview” image → Metadata 23.3 \| Previews	ORANGE

Jobs with a lower value of priority are executed first, this is the opposite of priority Worker Deamon Monitoring where jobs with a higher value of priority are executed first
The priority can be modified by clicking on the drop-down box shown in the image below
