Transcoder

Introduction

The preview or browse files in the ingest 1.0 and the ingest 1.5 flows are generated by transcoding jobs.

The worker daemon jobs can have the following statuses

Status	Meaning	Color

`waiting`	Job has yet to be picked up	WHITE
`in progress`	Job is currently processing with certain `progress` percentage indication.	BLUE
`completed`	Job finished successfully	GREEN
`failed`	Job encountered an unexpected error (i.e. connection error) When the setting `MediaHaven_STUDIO` is set, the job also fails if the preview could not be generated	RED
`browse_failed`	After from the preview could not be generated, the job finished successfully The preview paths in the metadata of the record will refer to a “no preview” image → https://mediahaven.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CS/pages/3926523905/Metadata+23.3#Previews	ORANGE

Jobs with a lower value of priority are executed first, this is the opposite of priority https://mediahaven.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CS/pages/3948478465 where jobs with a higher value of priority are executed first
The priority can be modified by clicking on the drop-down box shown in the image below
