As of the 22.3 release, the old MediaHaven website is no longer active. From now on uploading, searching and downloading/sharing digital assets should be done via MediaHaven 2.0!

The content uploader is still available for managing the settings. We can already announce that this will be available at least until version 23.4

Mediahaven 2.0 features

In cooperation with our customers, we keep enhancing our MediaHaven 2.0 product. We’ve continued the development of the following functionalities:

Manage organisation preferences and defaults

From now on, the admin user of the organisation can manage the preferences and defaults for new users of that organisation. This may be useful when new users register themselves via the portal or login page. The admin user can set a default role, manage the rights, language and pagination preferences of new users. Next to those preferences, the admin user can also define the ingest zones and user groups to which new users should belong.

Stability and performance of the system

In this release, we have also focused on the stability and performance of the system. Behind the scenes, our team has been working on many steps towards zero downtime deployments. In the future, this will ensure that there is less to no downtime during an upgrade.

Secure environments

We’ve also started a process of continuous pen testing. This is in pursuit of a secure environment for customers and our ISO certification.

Improvements

As with every release, we have made some improvements based on feedback from our end users. You can consult them below.

  • sEARCH IN FILTER VALUES Searching for values within a filter was improved. From now on, searching within a filter is no longer case-sensitive and you can also search by second or other words of a value. Previously, you only got results if your search term was the first word of the value.

  • Settings and management The system users are now displayed in the list of users. This allows the organisation’s admin user to have a complete overview of all users within the organisation or environment. Those system users can not be edited or deleted.

  • Thesaurus We have added additional validation while editing a thesaurus suggestion. From now on, you cannot include a value in the thesaurus that consists only of whitespaces.

Bug fixes

  • [MH2.0] We’ve fixed a bug when editing a user in the module ‘Settings and management'. When editing the user, the previously selected settings and rights are now displayed again.

  • [MH2.0] A problem occured when using multiple ‘exclude’ values in the advanced search. This has been fixed.

  • [MH2.0] A user with the ‘viewer’ role was not able to share their selection due to a missing right. From now on, a user with the ‘viewer’ role can share the selection.

  • [MH2.0] The autoplay feature when generating an embed code of a video or collection was broken and is now fixed.

  • [MH2.0] New users created through SingleSignOn do automatically get a default role assigned from this version.

  • [MH2.0] We’ve fixed a bug when bulk editing the position.

  • [MH2.0] We’ve fixed a bug in which using multiple exclusions in the advanced search did not work.
