Zeticon is proud to present version 25.2 of the MediaHaven platform. With this release, end users will benefit from a more consistent and intuitive interface, improved visibility into inherited metadata and upload progress and processing steps, and more flexibility in how information is displayed. Administrators gain greater control over display settings, user preferences, and the configuration of the public portal, enabling them to tailor the platform more effectively to specific needs.
Several technical upgrades further increase the platform’s stability, maintainability, and readiness for future developments.

New
In cooperation with our customers, we keep enhancing our product. We’ve continued the development of the following functionalities.
New report added to the reporting module
Admins can now generate reports on the number of consultations per day or month, providing better insights into system usage and demand.
Improved upload feedback and processing visualization
Users now get clearer insight into failed uploads and can follow each processing step in real time. This improves transparency, speeds up troubleshooting, and reduces frustration by helping users understand and resolve issues on their own.
Customizable views and user preferences
Get faster access to relevant information through enhanced flexibility in data presentation!
Users can now on-the-fly choose which fields are shown as columns and define their preferred sorting order based on the displayed information.
Admins can manage personal display preferences on behalf of other users and configure the layout of the public portal. This ensures an optimized experience across teams or roles and simplified the onboarding of new employees.
Improvements
As with every release, we have made some improvements based on feedback from our end users.
User experience
Clear indication of inherited fields: Easily see which metadata is inherited, reducing confusion and editing errors.
Titles and actions visible in full view: Titles and actions stay visible in full-page view for faster navigation and task execution.
Consistent clickable areas: a hand icon makes it clear that the area is interactive, improving usability. The master detail of a collection is made available to become consistent clicking behavior between an item and a collection.
Better usage of radio button and boolean fields: For radio button fields it is now possible to easily clear the selected option. For boolean fields it’s more clear when the value is set , not set or empty.
Thesaurus suggestions remain visible after saving the edits: These suggestion(s) are displayed in another design than the regular options to make a clear difference.
Custom filters on the tasklist: In the previous release we launched the possibility to have custom filters on objectpages in the platform. From now, this is also possible on the tasklist.
Settings and management
Visible release info: The current platform version is now shown under 'System Info' via the user menu, making it easier for users and support to verify the running version.
Persistent info banner: A custom information banner can now always be displayed, helping admins communicate key messages to users clearly and consistently.
Performance and stability
We’ve improved the performance of the front end by changing the way we request the metadata for list, grid and map views. This results in faster loadings (20%) of those overviews.
We’ve improved the performance of the SIP upload.
The performance of the facets on the task list has been improved by 33% because of a new facet API endpoint. This also provides a more intuitive and efficient way to request facets for records via the API.
Technical features and improvements
Request XSD to validate the sidecar XML against the metadata model
To ensure the correct structure and metadata before ingesting a XML file, a XSD scheme can now be requested via the API. This improves data quality, catches errors early and ensures better interoperability with other systems.

New PDF and TIFF validator
We’ve introduced a new product add-on for PDF and TIFF validation. This ensures higher file quality, prevents processing errors, and improves long-term preservation readiness.
